TV There has been serious and significant interest from several production companies and major networks for a two hour live special on the sinking. An executive producer has been retained to coordinate these efforts. Stay tuned!
Local Activities On Sunday, January 10, a large group of divers visually surveyed the Yukon sinking site which lies 1.85 miles off Mission Beach at a depth of 100 feet. Excellent weather and water conditions contributed to a very successful effort. CyberSea is videoing all activities for a documentary to be released after the Yukon is put down. They began documenting at the Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest in October and had both topside and underwater cameras going during the site survey. The San Diego Oceans Foundation had a booth at the January boat show at the Convention Center. It emphasized the Yukon project and had a crowd around the videos during the entire show. T-shirt sales alone brought in nearly $1,000.
