Well it continues to be a whirlwind year for the Diveanimals, our picnic was a phenomenal success thanks to all of you that participated! We signed up 20 new members and 54 renewals! Since then we are up over 100 members – that is truly great for this early in the season!

We have lots of activities scheduled for the rest of

the summer, lots of trips to La Bufadora, participation in two of the 3-R’s and a trip to Tahiti (even I’m going to dive there!!). All of this information and much more is on the Current Events page on the website (www.diveanimals.com). So you all have no excuses to not

participate in at least one event this year – at the very least, get out and spend a morning diving on one of your boats!

Speaking of boats, we have purchased a Panga for club use (pictures are inside this ‘Brief) it is the first ‘hard hull’ boat the we have ever owned, and it has a lot of advantages over the inflatables. Having a smoother ride, more space, a stronger engine, it’s easer to get in and out of and that’s just the start of the list. So fill out a dive request form (Schedule a Boat Dive) on the website, it’s easy, fast and sure to be fun!

You may have noticed a change in our meeting formats as well, we are now going to meet on the first Wednesday of each month for socials/meetings. The first two meetings of the quarter will be at the PB Bar and Grill and the third meeting will be a general membership meeting at Casa

We all hurried through our Christmas dinners with our families, packed and headed for Los Angeles to catch our flight, knowing that our departure date was the second day of the elevated security alert at LAX. What a way to start an adventure! Things went amazing smoothly at the airport, which would bode well for the balance of the trip.

Machado, complete with speakers, presenters, raffle prizes (last meeting we gave away boat rides, La Bufadora trips and a Mask and Snorkel combo from TUSA). The specific locations and dates are listed on the web site (Home Page and Current Events) and email notifications will be sent out prior to each.

As we get through the summer, the club is going to have an election and change of leadership. Geoff Nelson is preparing for the elections at this time. This year three of the Board positions come up for election and the entire Officer staff comes up too. So if you are interested in helping out with the running of the club, now is a great time to start participating, just send us an email and we will get you started.

Belize Aggressor ‘04 Trip Report Frances San Clemente

We arrived in Belize on several different flights. The second arrival group had an added adventure when their pilot missed the landing strip several times in the fog, attempting to land their jet on a roadway by mistake. They were diverted to
